Esso confident he will score more goals for Hearts of Oak

Joseph Esso, Hearts of Oak Joseph Esso, Hearts of OakHearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso says he is not overly worried about his lack of goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign, adding that he will continue to work hard and not be too hard on himself.Esso, who helped Hearts of Oak to a vital win over Dreams FC at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu says sometimes a player needs luck to score consistently in the league.“I keep working hard everyday and I will keep my hard up and the goals will come. I am not too worried. Today (against Dreams) I had two attempts hit the goalpost when it should have been going in but it is part of life and I will keep going”.Esso has become an integral part of a rejuvenated Hearts of Oak side and has been praised by many for his hard work and ability to create goals for his strike partner Kofi Kordzi who got the winner for the Phobians in Dawu last Sunday. The Phobians returning from their defeat to arch-rivals, Asante Kotoko, were desperate not to make it two defeats on the bounce and they did exactly that by outlasting their host in Dawu. The defeat was Dream FC’s first at home since 2016 and demonstrates how good Hearts of Oak were on the day.Despite not getting his name on the scoresheet, Joseph Esso’s impressive display in the game did not go unnoticed as he was adjudged the Man of the Match, winning souvenirs from sponsors NASCO.
